I am a 31 year-old single woman who has always known I wanted to be a mother. I travelled in college to Kenya and Peru to work with children, and I was astounded by what I saw. I knew I wanted to adopt internationally "someday." I always figured the time would come - later. And then I started meeting people who specifically adopt special needs children...and I started reading about the orphan crisis...and my desire to be a mother NOW got stronger and stronger.
